No clarity as to its true plastic type. It states #2 polypropylene. Well #2 plastics are polyethylene. #5 is polypropylene. States on package as #2 polypropylene. The seller answers questions to this affect as pp5. Pp5 can withstand 130c. So I'll be Heat testing it to that to see what it actually is and update the review. Edit- just ran the lids through my PC for 35mins @15 psi for some sterile work. They withstood the temps with no deformation or melting. Mind you these still can NOT be used for canning, but for anyone looking to use these for sterilization work, they work as intended. Star increased by one. Still not 5 because the description and product packaging state 2 different things as far as plastic types. I would still purchase these again when the time came.
