I purchased this bed hoping it would be THE bed. I've purchased so many that have been 5 star rated and were actually a 1 star at best. This bed is exactly what our Staffordshire Terrier needed to help ease his arthritis! (He was dumped in our neighborhood and crawled into our yard weighing just 46 lbs. His ribs were showing, his spine, it was heart breaking) After getting his shots and putting some weight on, he had to be treated for heartworms, a series of 3 very painful shots. This bed was the first one he could lay in and not be in too much pain. (Thanks Animal Friends in Brenham, TX for making my Joe better) Joe loves this bed so much. He can curl into a corner and rest his big head on the very supportive sides, or he can stretch out, all the way and still have room for his little Shiz Tzu sister to curl up next to him. The price is a bit high but after seeing how well it's held up, I can say it was worth every penny. My old guy doesn't have as much trouble getting up anymore and the foam has held up like no other bed I have ever purchased! Joe is 80 lbs. and still it is soft enough for him to sleep in, but the foam springs right back the second he gets up. It has not got any depressed areas that don't come back the way so many other beds I've purchased do. Joe hates it when I wash the cover to his bed, so I purchased an extra cover to keep this spoiled boy from having to wait while the cover is being washed.
