If I could give it 6 STARS, I would.
BACKGROUND: When I first got my Note 4, I initially bought and Otterbox Commuter Series case (due to it's slimmer profile), but quickly returned it because it was way too slick on the sides and back. So much so, it almost made the device more susceptible to dropping because it was just slippery. There was little to no textured grip on it. Not knowing which case I actually would like best, I ordered about 6 different ones from Amazon, figuring I'd return the ones that did not measure up or make the grade. After receiving them all, I put them each through a day long test which just included my everyday uses. RESULTS: I gotta say, this case is the best of the lot. It's sturdy in design and slimmer that many others promising the same level of protection. Sure, there are others available that may be ever so slightly thinner, but the trade-off is that they don't protect your device as well, and in most cases (no pun intended), you'd still need to buy screen protection. That's not to say this one is thick or bulky, because it's not. Additionally, it does have the screen protection built right in. As a bonus, it comes with the holster cover/belt clip, if you choose to use it. For me, that's an extra option I won't use, because I love the feel of the device without it and I never attach anything to my belt. As I said, they designed this case very well, adding tapering to the four sides so the entire device "feels" thinner in your hand. They also added small "bumpers" on all four corners for added shock resistance, should you actually drop it. The screen and cameras are, also, slightly recessed providing added protection for them. Those are all important features, however, for me, most important is the fit, functionality and the grip. I don't want to add a case to my device that makes it even slicker. As I mentioned, many cases did exactly that, but NOT this one. I like the rubbery, rough texture and the embedded, angular grips down both side. It's very well thought out, including the pliable closures hiding every external hole. They fit snugly and stay in place without flapping around and getting caught. Finally, the six embedded rubber bumpers on the underside prevent sliding, and provide shock absorption, while also leveling the device on any flat surface when set down. In closing, there are certain things more important to some people and other things to others. For me, this case fills every need and is a steal at the price sold. I can promise, you won’t go wrong with the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro Series Holster Case.
