So I put this together in about two hours and it seems sturdy enough without anchors, however a strong wind is gonna send it to the ground, also by anchoring it to the ground it will increase the overall integrity of the structure. This comes with anchors, but they are nothing more than tent spikes. I chose to make cement blocks and and set the hardware in the cement, the turned out great and even though it was work, it was much easier and less permanent than digging a hole and pouring cement supports.
