Just a little background - my family is Chinese and we're obsessed with rice (my dad doesn't feel full unless there is rice at the meal). My dad had heard about this rice cooker at a mah-jong game and asked me to find it for him, so to the Amazons. I ordered this for them, and my parents have had the rice cooker for about a week now and they can NOT STOP RAVING ABOUT HOW GOOD THE RICE IS. My mom, who is a bit of a rice snob, used the same normal chinese rice (Kokoman brand) she always does, and she says that it tastes like it's high quality premium new rice. It's light, fluffy, sweet, with the perfect amount of starchiness. She and my dad have doubled their rice intake since getting this rice cooker, and my parents now want to buy one for everyone in the family.
