I got these today... haven't made the sound dampening wall art project yet. I have used this foam before (different brand) and I can tell you that the science behind this is sound and works well to diffuse sound and isolate for recording. This is literally the exact same style, quality, and shape as the name brand foam. This does feel like it is straight from the factory though as there is a slight oil residue still on the foam when you pull it out of the package.
