I bought this skillet a few months ago to replace my old worn out one. I like to cook quick meals for myself with a skillet because of my job. I'm always on the go and I need a easy, fast, cook and clean for one person and out the door way of life. I have gone thru many cheaper skillets thru the years and Oster makes the most durable, long lasting surface I know. This skillet is big enough for family meals, and the thermostat works, not like the other brands. Simmer is Simmer.
