It setup thru windows by plugging in the usb and windows added its own driver (same on both windows 7 and 8 computers I installed it to)It also set as a speaker so I had to switch after driver install to my default speaker. To install the stand remove ring from microphone put thru loop of stand and screw on ring clamping it in place. I started to cross thread the ring but when I flipped it, it threaded perfectly, so check this when installing to stand. The program used to record the video was Photo and Video Pro Suite X5.
