A good full extension slide for the money. These require exactly 1 inch additional (1/2 per side) clearance to your drawers if mounting directly to cabinet walls. I mounted the slides to the workshop cabinet walls before assembling the cabinets with excellent results. I mounted all slides in the center of my drawers flush with the drawer front box paneI. I mounted the slides about 3/16 inch in from the cabinet front face to provide a little clearance from full insertion. I used a spreadsheet to calculate my slide position on my cabinet panels. My goal was to provide 1/2( 1/4 would be fine) inch clearance beneath the bottom drawer and 1/2 inch above the top drawer and 3/4 inch between the drawers. See picture of spreadsheet. Next I may make simple drawer face panels using a simple quarter round bit around the perimeters. I’ll add some pics to give a rough idea of my procedure. Drawers upon initial install may give some resistance although smooth out once you move in and out once. If very difficult to push a drawer in check for potentially bent tabs to avoid damaging upon initial install.
After drawing my slide center lines I used one guide as a drill hole template. Four to five screws were used per metal slide and the location marked with a sharp pencil. I then pre-drilled a pilot hole for each screw with a controlled depth of 3/8 inch. The screws I used are Zinc Phillips Truss Head Coarse Thread, 8x7/16. I hope this helps.
