Ok fine they do work
I wrote a one star review just last week and I take it back. The strips work. If your reading is 0 for chlorine go to poolcalculator.com and enter your pool's capacity. It will calculate how much chlorine you have to add. It was much more than I expected. After that I was within acceptable rage and the strips confirmed it. Also when I added baking soda the alkalinity and ph changed almost immediately. They work. Too bad it took half the strips in the tube and a week of frustration for me to be able to figure it out.
