I have owned a Lodge cast iron skillet for many years and have always loved it. I’m vegetarian, so I like that I can fortify my food with iron using cast iron. I ordered this 5 piece set so I could get the Dutch oven with lid and the griddle. It also came with 2 skillets, and every piece is high quality. None of the pieces arrived broken despite the poor packaging (Lodge package put into an Amazon box with a piece of thick brown paper for cushioning). I started the seasoning process immediately and can tell they will work well for me for decades to come. Some reviews claimed that their skillets rusted easily; this is the customer’s fault, not the company’s. Do not buy this if you cannot properly clean cast iron. You have to season it after purchasing and can’t ever use soap on it. Always coat it with oil or some sort of fat after you clean it with plain hot water and a rag or soapless sponge. If you take care of your cast iron, it will take care of you!
