It's always hard to tell if these things are working. There's a light, but the purpose is not to provide light, it's to make noise that's drives off pests, and I don't mean your neighbors or in-laws. The sound, of course, is inaudible to us, so they might just be expensive night-lights. So, lets look at the evidence to see if they actually do anything. I have a problem with lady bugs (or Japanese beetles) and stink bugs getting into the house during the winter (as well as mice, but I don't usually see them). The bugs tend to congregate in the sunny, southern-facing windows. I callously placed these devices right under the windows. :-) What happened was, to me, quite interesting. The little buggers moved away from that area! In fact, a whole bunch of them decided to migrate to the cool, dark, noisy utility room with the furnace and water heater. By the time I figured out where they had gone, their bodies carpeted the floor of the room! So, I have placed one of these in the utility room (and vacuumed the floor). No bug bodies thus far. Yay! In short, the bugs are moving from their preferred areas to areas they don't normally visit. I'm going to say this is working as advertised, and annoying the pests in the house. One other item of note: This isn't a review about the seller, but I want to say that they provided excellent support of their product. One device (out of the six in the box) arrived clearly broken. I contacted them, and they sent me a replacement unit without any problems or hassle. So, five stars to them, as well!
