Features for non-gamers, too.
I am totally not a gamer, so this is from the viewpoint of an old woman with vision problems who types too fast for a lot of software. The first thing I love about this keyboard, however trivial it might seem, is that the keys light up, and the characters are large. I can see the keys I'm looking for! Yes, I touch-type my alphabet, but sometimes not so much the numbers and symbols, and now I can find them quickly and easily. The lighting effects are fun and useful - definitely download the Logitech software from their Web site. You can color-code various zones on the keyboard or just let it change colors in various ways. I turned on the Wave effect for now. I can also create macros very easily, like for key combos that I use often but have trouble executing without looking or with one hand. I can set up the function keys for all kinds of stuff. I have a great big gaming laptop, also for the power and the big screen, and I like to watch video on it when I'm not working. The media keys on this keyboard allow me to pause, start, stop, mute, and skip without having to use a mouse or the touchpad on the built-in keyboard on the laptop. The wrist rest actually helps these old hands, and the spill resistance means I'll actually get to keep this for a while. Incidentally, Captain Carrot the ginger cat hates it when I put the big laptop in my lap, but right now I'm using it on the side while resting the keyboard on the cat, and he seems quite content: see?
