I herniated a disc in my lower back. I have bucket seats in my car and the angle was not helpful for my recovery. My chiropractor recommended a wedge to change the angle and help provide relief. I used this wedge in my car, on chairs, anywhere I would need to sit for longer than a few minutes. It made long drives easy and sitting at tables comfortable. On cold days, it would take some time for the memory foam to warm up and start conforming to my hindquarters, and I was fine with that. The bottom of the pad is white with little grippy dots. My light gray leather seats were not stained or marred by the cushion. The handle on the side made it easy to carry around. You don't realize how might higher you sit with this little wedge until you actually get in your car. I lowered my seat as low as it would go and my hair was almost touching the top of my car (granted, I do have a sun roof, so that lowers the top a bit). I am 5'11" and I drive Hyundai Elantra, which qualifies as a compact car, so not everyone will experience the same thing as I did. As high as I sat, it was still far better than hurting for all 35 minutes of my daily commute.
