My dog has been wearing for 3 weeks. One day we went for a hike in thick, thick woods and the ticks here are terrible right now. I could see the ticks crawling on him but none embedded themselves in the dog. Then, about a week later, I took the collar off the dog and forgot to put back on. When he came back from the back yard he immediately had 2 ticks. Got the ticks out, has been wearing the collar for the past week and spending lots of time outside, not a single tick. Also, no fleas and haven't noticed any mosquitoes bothering him. Good collar! Plus he smells real nice. Will update later to see if collar really works for 5 months.
