I have two boys, ages 10 and 11, who love this claw machine. I buy small candy bars (mini, not fun size) and gummies because the claw won't pick up/carry bigger pieces of candy because its too heavy. My kids placed a shortened wooden skewer in the slot and use it as a lever to activate it instead of using the coins. I will agree with other reviewers that the music the machine plays is very loud and annoying, but its an easy fix. Take out the screws on the bottom of the machine and you'll see 2 yellow wires...just disconnect them from the speaker and wrap the ends in electrical tape and put the bottom and screws back into place...the lights will still light up but that awful music will be silenced. It was a great buy!
