This camera is fantastic. I have never owned any other go pros. I have a nice DSLR and a great point and shoot. My DSLR takes better quality videos. My cellphone takes descent videos. However, none of them are as small as the Hero. I can put my session in my black pouch and stick it in my pocket or backpack. This is great, especially for traveling and day trips. I don't want to attract attention to my expensive goods, and this fits the bill. Also, the fact that the cam is so small, leads to great candid shots on streets and public transportation. I love that it is water proof, and I can use it in fountains, lakes, rivers, and in the rain. If what I have described sounds interesting or good to you, then pull the trigger. I did buy a selfie stick and I get some sweet footage of myself and my loved ones doing cool stuff. I have no regrets, except that I did not buy it sooner. The battery life is about two hours if you keep the wifi turned off, which is not the best, but with a power bank that usually meets my needs for at least one day of filming, if not a whole weekend. The build is solid, and with a good lens protector you are gold, like pony boy. Edit: 11/17/2016 Love this camera still. I made a few videos with footage from this camera and the footage taking in bright/sunny areas is amazing. Still loving this camera and it was a great purchase. No regrets, full recommend especially if you will be traveling a lot or if you do outdoor sports. I love that this camera can be taken into water and you can get some sweet footage.
