Day 1 I got this humidifier to replace a Vick's Cool Mist humidifier in my daughter's room. I was a little upset that my humidifier didn't come with the cleaning brush listed on the box. Then my wife said, "maybe it's in the reservoir?" Sure enough, they made a special spot to place the cleaning brush so you don't lose it. I LOVE this because pieces and parts always get lost unless they have a place to go. I decided to plug it in in my room to see if I could tell the difference. I must say, seeing IS believing. The first thing I noticed was that on high, this humidifier visibly puts out a TON of mist. So much so that I had to turn it way down because it worked so well that it put a fine mist on the floor right around it and I felt like I was walking into the jungle. So, for my daughter's smaller room, I had to turn it way down whereas the Vick's I have to constantly keep on high and I feel like it is never doing anything. Day 2 Much better. I turned the humidifier down to 1/4 power and it made my daughter's room perfect. Way more noticeable than the Vick's. My daughter's cough has acted up once today and she slept all night and even let us sleep in an extra two hours! The Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier XL actually works and even goes above and beyond what you would expect. Today, we are leaving my daughter's room open to see how well it helps the whole house. Day 3 My wife and I, and our 15 month old daughter, are definitely pleased with his new humidifier. We have agreed that the Vick's one will be sold or trashed and we will be looking into buying another one of these Ultrasonic Humidifiers for our room. The ultrasonic disperses the vapor much more quickly and efficiently. After leaving it on in my daughters room and leaving her door open we all noticed a much more breathable environment throughout the house. A couple of points: READ the directions. If you use it on high, do not put it where things that might get wet will be affected. This humidifier is extremely capable so use it on a lower setting and have patience. Yes, you did get a cleaning brush. It is nicely tucked inside the reservoir for storage in it's own little spot. Perfect for a kids room in the cold dry months. The night light (with multiple different colors) relaxes kids of any age. In the end, I have to give this a 5 out of 5. We love it!
