There is no such thing as an "efficient" electric heater. All electric heaters of the same wattage will output the same amount of heat and use the same amount of electricity. A heater simply runs electricity through a resistor and turns that electricity into heat. A 1500 watt heater 10x this size will output the same amount of heat as this tiny 1500 watt heater and use the same amount of electricity. It has standard safety features such as turning off when knocked over. It also has three heat settings as opposed to the two that you find on most other models. The thermostat works well and means I can just turn it on and enjoy a constant temperature in my room. Works great with a smart plug since it will turn on once it receives electricity--no need to press a power switch. Make sure to buy a smart plug rated over 1500W. I use it with the HBN Smart Plug Mini and it works like a charm. Absolutely no reason to spend more on a heater. This is the best space heater money can buy. EDIT: Heater is still working like new 15 months later!
