I've had this shredder for over 2 years now and it's still working flawlessly after "eating up" hundreds of pounds of papers and going through 2 out of state moves. I simply plug it in and leave it in a corner of my apartment set on "Auto" and use it almost every day to shred paper that I wouldn't normally throw away in the garbage. I used the credit card shredding features a few times and there was no issue. It will comfortably shred about 5-6 sheets of paper at once but be careful if shredding a whole envelope (with papers in it) such as credit card offers as these might get stuck. You'll be better off opening the envelope and shredding the papers individually. It's not a heavy duty product but gets the job done for regular daily use.
