Columbia really knows how to make clothes for curvier women, though I do feel like the sizing runs small. I gained some weight and was not going to be able to cram myself into my old Columbia coat which was admittedly tight when I bought it. Got the 2X, and it fits so well. I even have some room in the hip area. And, it has adorable extended sleeves with thumb holes! So cute! I can't really speak to waterproof or warmth, but it appears to be the same awesome quality as my other Columbia winter gear. For your reference, I'm 245, 5'7", and pear shaped. I love the shape and length!
