I had been struggling with low WjFi speeds from my upstairs office. I've tried other WiFi adapters in the past, and they were a royal pain to deal with. Although more expensive than most, I decided to try this Netgear adapter. My WiFi speeds instantly *TRIPLED* after installation on my Windows computer. But there's the catch. Installation. Forget the enclosed CDROM and instructions. Don't even bother thinking about it. Download the latest software directly from the Netgear site. Plug in your Netgear adapter and then install ONLY the DRIVER. You do not need any of that other crapware that Netgear wants to load on your computer. Once the driver has installed (you just double-click the driver EXE file to install it), you can log into your network. Happy times on the Interwebs!
