My previous pillow was a memory foam pillow. I normally sleep on my side all night long and sometimes the same side. I must have sensitive ears, because I almost always have a sore ear in the morning from laying like this. In fact with my previous Memory foam pillow, I had to use one of those donut hole travel pillows on top of my normal pillow and rest my ear in the hollow spot so it didn't hurt in the morning Last night I tested this pillow and slept on the side as usual. I can't really describe how nice it felt besides it felt like a cloud. No pressure point on my ear at all. I love this pillow, and I really love the reasonable pricing also. I think I'm going to get some for my kids
