I always had long, thick light brown hair, but this past January I got very sick with strep throat and had to take a harsh antiboitic to clear up the infection. A couple of weeks later my hair started falling out in clumps. So I went to the doctor and blood work came back great and was told I had developed Alopecia Areata. I didn't want to undergo the steroid shots and more side effects from medication hoping my hair would grow back. I was desperate for something so went to a salon in my area that specializes in hair thinning/restoration and wigs. I was devastated when the hair dresser put a synthetic wig on me. Human hair wigs cost thousands of dollars. Thankfully, the manager of the salon said she had a product that she believed would work for me as an alternative to the wig. I couldn't believe the instant difference this product made for me. It really is like magic! It washes out in the shower and is not permanent. The hairdresser stated to sprinkle it on clean, dry hair and pat it in with your fingers. I also bought the XFusion Spray that was recommended to set the powder. I can't begin to tell you the difference in the way I look and feel. Hair loss is so emotional. No different than losing any other part of our body. Since my hair is slowly growing back white due to the Alopecia I was told to buy the Gray color to blend in and looks so natural. I have my confidence back and don't have to worry about people staring or asking rude, intrusive questions about my hair loss. My heart goes out to all people who have lost their hair and know that this product is not a cure.
