I would give it 4 stars, though with my own slight modification it became 5. I never had a platform bed frame before and was about to return it after realizing that my 8 inch foam mattress would easily slid over one side or the other whenever I moved. I had 2 thin sturdy metal book ends. I bent the bottoms so they would not stick out and placed them under two of the outside screws (mid side or each side).My bookends happened to very snugly fit between the side screws before I tightened the screws. You could do the same thing with a thin rigid piece of metal and two drilled holes for the screws. The bookends just go halfway up the side of the mattress. No more sliding mattress.
