Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

Probably the most visceral movie I’ve ever seen. The director makes you care so much for the characters at the beginning, it rips out your gut when the horror starts to happen. Some pretty amazing reviews here that praise this film. Rarely do you see such a high percentage on Amazon. If there’s any justice, the Academy should nominate Mandy for best picture, or perhaps best foreign film since it was shot in Belgium. This lands right up there on my top ten of all time. Dismiss all the one star reviews, they’re from folks who just never learned to appreciate real cinema. And I wasn’t paid to write this, far from it. I’m just so tired of hollow revenge mainstream pablum like the Taken series with phoney staged fight scenes, where I couldn’t care less what happens to anyone. Mandy is mythological, like Orpheus descent into hell. And it works, if you let it. Like an epic poem.
