I purchased the 50 mL container to trial the product. My advice to everyone, is to do the same. Why? This product is unlike creams and lotions-- so it "behaves" and feels differently-- and might not be what you're accustomed to. But, it works. It works better than any cream or lotion I have ever used-- Cerave, Palmer's Shea Butter, Cetaphil, Vaseline moisturizers, etc.-- to name a few. The initial texture and feel is most similar to patroleum jelly. When applied onto the skin, initially it feels a bit tacky and ever-so-slightly gritty. However, once the formula absorbs into the skin, those odd textures disappear. You're left with supple skin that REMAINS moisturized throughout the day. Because of the unique texture, I apply this moisturizer (after applying Bio Oil Skincare Oil) at night before bed. When I wake up, my skin is amazingly soft and youthful-- I love it! If not at night, I apply in the morning while getting ready-- letting the formula absorb into my skin for about 10 minutes before getting dressed. To me, the results are worth getting used to the texture of a gel product. It's not a cream product, after all. As for smell, it is similar to Bio Oil Skincare Oil , but it is certainly not as strong a scent and it smells much more herbal. Personally, I prefer the scent of the Skincare Oil (which is comparable to the White Peach & Orange Blossom smell of Caress soap). But, like I said, I'm after the results-- not the initial scent and feel that both go away after a while. Creams have mastered initial scent and feel, but they consistently fail to deliver lasting results. I'm for the results! Try this product if that's what you're after too.
