No complaints so far after only using it for one week. Water heats up as stated (3-5min). The buttons are not actual buttons but resemble "touch screen" buttons. The inside looks to be 100% stainless steel. When water is boiling, the kettle itself DOES feel very warm/hot to the touch so keep that in mind in terms of safety; however, the handle & base feel cool (so I would be ok placing this directly on my counter). The lid fastens securely so I don't have to worry about it falling off as I'm trying to pour every last drop! It was also packaged nicely & offers extended 2-yr warranty upon registration. I did extensive Amazon research on gooseneck kettles and thought this was the best one that gave the most bang for my buck - and looks beautiful on my kitchen counter.
