It took a bit of work to get the text messaging to work, so I thought I might help Verizon customers from having to go through the same. Motorola tech help to us to understand that Verizon doesn't train their staff at their stores when they put a Verizon sim card in an unlocked Motorola phone they also need to activate the "cdma less feature" in order to receive text messages. Verizon also doesn't train their techs that troubleshoot customers problems with receiving text messages to check the CDMA less feature on the phone. I hope this helps someone having text issues on this otherwise very nice phone.
