This does what it says! My work and my home water went from a 7.0 to a 9.0. Be sure to follow the instructions and run the cartridge under water for a couple of minutes first, and then fill it 3 times and empty the water 3 times before drinking. If you let the water get too low in the bottom while drinking, fill it back up to where it comes above the bottom of the cartridge. My only wish is that this pitcher came with testing drops so everyone could see how it works. I already had testing drops from other alkaline water products I've purchased, so I was able to do the test (see attached photo). I will say this is the most convenient product I've purchased for alkaline water, and it has a good price point. I'm happy with this purchase.
