I started to ponder whether or not I wanted a gas or electric pole saw for my yard. I decided on this pole saw and very glad that I did. The pole saw comes in the box in two main parts (pole in two parts, the chain saw). Pole assembly is very easy as the two parts to the pole simply snap together and the chain saw (which can be used as a stand-alone smaller electric chain saw) fits on with a plastic piece and a washer and screw nut. The weight of the chain saw does not wobble and fits solid on the quality fiberglass pole. The pole expands out to approx. 15 feet and feels slightly top heavy with the saw fully extended. Saw cuts very well and handles trees with limbs as fibrous as those of a river birch tree. Saw is not too loud and cuts very very well. I've cut mature fir, river birch and crate myrtle limbs with the pole saw and it has not yet disappointed. This is a great product and the only regret that I have is that I didn't buy one before now. One little last note is that you'll need to purchase some chain oil for the chain saw portion because it comes dry out of the box and you'll want it lubricated before use.
