Best dental checkups ever
I have always had terrible dental checkups, lots of plaque, etc... At least one new cavity per year, and always a potential spot or two that needed to be watched. 3 crowns, 3 root canals, so many fillings. Basically, I absolutely dread going to see the dentist. As an adult, I brush at least 3 times daily, 6 years ago I put a water pik in the shower and use it daily. I've asked the dentist what else I can do and always get vague answers that some people just have bad teeth and they don't know what to tell me.
In October, 2012, my dentist told me I had 2 new spots that would probably need to be filled by my next visit. In December, 2012, I started using Earthpaste. In April, 2013, I had a cleaning. The dental asst mentioned that I had very little plaque and my gums were looking pretty good. No mention of the spots on the watch list. I told her that I was using a new toothpaste, but she poo-poohed it. Today, 10/24/13 I had a cleaning, and she was shocked at how little plaque I had - it took about 6 minutes to scrape my teeth. She said my teeth looked fantastic and so did my gums. They did x-rays, and woo hoo - no new cavities or spots to watch! She said it must be the waterpik - I told her that i've been using it for years and it never made a difference before, and that the only thing that corresponded to the change was using Earthpaste. I did not change my diet or start/stop taking any different supplements. She actually wrote it down but was still very disbelieving.
Take that, stupid fluoridated toothpastes that never improved my dental health! So ironic that all those years I followed traditional dental advice, like using fluoride toothpaste, using fluoridated mouthwash/stuff to recalcify teeth, but nothing ever worked. I think Earthpaste healed the upcoming cavities that were developing.
PS My favorite flavor is lemon. I like them all, but Lemon is tasty. It is definitely a different feeling than the foamy toothpastes, but you get used to it quickly. My teeth feel very clean and not slimy when I'm done.
