The Wavemaster XXL in action
In this video, this wavemaster is being hit at full force by my younger brother who's 160lbs and 5'7" (the base is filled with water). A lot of people ask questions as to the durability and versatility of the Wavemaster XXL. It's not the perfect tool by any means. It can't withstand the heaviest punchers and kicks can often completely knock it over. When I use it, I can almost knock it over with punches at will. However, this doesn't mean you can't get a decent workout out of it either. Depending on the way you use it and your weight, style and build, the effectiveness of this product will vary. I'd recommend this for anyone who can't get a heavybag rig, which is far superior to a wavemaster xxl. This tool is about compromise in my opinion. You might need to compromise for this item if you can't get a heavybag, and you might have to comprising which techniques you use on it as well. Of course it's a bit unrealistic in terms of a target, so remember to also mix in lots of pad work with this tool. I feel, do it the product's build.. in a way in promotes improper technique (to a degree) when it comes to combinations and hooks. Overall, it's a good versatile tool. And, if you're creative you can remove the top and use it for practicing ground and pound if you're into that stuff (to an extent). I hope this video and review helps anyone on the fence about this product! Thank you for reading my review!
