Great temporary solution.
When we moved into our house, it still had the 1970s kitchen with yellow laminate countertops. I decided to give this kit a try, expecting it would be a good solution for about 6 months, until we could get new countertops. 16 months later, and it is still going strong! I did have to buy an extra can of white paint and an extra can of the polyurethane, but I love how it turned out. I did not remove the sink and just caulked around the edges with a clear caulk. I haven't had any problems with chipping or peeling, even when water was left on the countertop for too long. We will have to replace the countertop in the next year or so, just because the base laminate was peeling along the edges, but that has nothing to do with the Giani kit. I would definitely recommend for those on a budget.
