Day 5 of clogs I may never go back.  The ease of sliding my foot into the shoe is alluring, like a siren song of laziness.   Thus far, I have worn said shoes in snowy/slushy conditions and prevailed through with feet so dry, they could be a Steven Wright joke. The amount of arch support would be equivalent to co-parenting a child with your ex-husband, Bill Gates - so luxurious that the tagline for the shoe should be “look like a mole, feel like a gold digger”. The shoes have created the most zen dating mindset, allowing the wearer to slide into spinsterhood as easily as their feet slide into their daily footwear. “Don’t worry about a man” they purr.  “We will support you until you pass slowly in the night.  And we won’t eat your body like your cat will.” Overall, the shoes make my feet happy but they also legitimize my life choices; maybe we all have to choose between the Birkenstock and the flashy wedge booties. But if you want to tred that long road alone, you might as well have appropriate footwear.
