If you are expecting a high-quality real thick wood desk. Please go back and look at the price of this desk. We are poor and we are trying to buy a device only the elite could purchase 4-5 years ago. The motor is quiet for what it is, it just makes a motor noise not loud, not silent, it just sounds like it is moving. Assembly is easy if you actually read the instructions and not like the rest of the people here. I have had it for like 2 months and I use it, trust me. I try to stand for like 2 minutes and feel like dying so I need to sit, but 2 minutes later I want to stand again. So believe me. Mine has gone up and down enough times in these 2 months to tell you that it is a decent quality machine. The color is 90% accurate, maybe 80% if you are a Karen. Built quality is good. Think of Ikea but 20-25% better quality.
