The Good and the Bad
Our entire home is wood laminate and we use low laying matts at the doors, and have a low rugs in the hallways, under the coffee table and in the center of the living room. We bought this because we have a large dog and two cats that leave fur bunnies all over. Having indoor cats, we get the added bonus of kitty litter that gets tracked around in the cats claws.
The Bad: I learned quickly that it doesn't like our low-lying floor matts or rugs - it gets stuck getting on all but one of them. And surprisingly the one it gets up on isn't the thinnest. So, we have to place most of our rugs and all of the matts up on tables and the couch before we can run it. Also, it has got stuck trying to get over lamp cords, and once got tangled up by a loose fringe from a throw blanket. Once it got itself wedged under bakers rack. Before we use it now, we put all matts and rugs up, lift all cables and cords up, and place boots and cans around our bakers rack to run it once a week. It is too much to do nightly,
The Good: Once we get everything up off of the floor and block the bakers rack from it, it does an AMAZINGLY GOOD JOB in getting fur, dirt and even the kitty litter. It goes under the sofa and our bookcase without getting wedged and we are always surprised at how much it gets because we do sweep a lot, and it doesn't LOOK dirty before we run it. I would run it nightly if we didn't have the matts and rugs to contend with.
