If you are looking for a good chopper, search no farther. I bought this product specifically for the chopper. I hate crying over onions. I hate tediously chopping vegetables. Now I don't have to! I wash the vegetables, cut them to fit in the chopping surface, lower the lid, then hit it a time or two and it's done! My nieces love helping, too. They are 10, 8, and 5. With the lid down and constant supervision, it's fairly safe. I haven't used anything but the chopper so far, but even if everything else is terrible I'm still satisfied with my purchase. The cleanup was fairly easy. I have cut green peppers, onions, celery, and tomatoes so far. The manual says it was not made for cutting soft food like tomatoes (I used firm ones and it worked like a charm) or especially hard food like sweet potatoes (I haven't tried those yet).
