I use these for some unlikely things. I keep a couple in the car for winter emergencies, but use and resuse one in the car often to keep things cold or hot when I can't get home right away (dinner from a restaurant, cold groceries, picnic salads when I'm traveling to a get together, etc). Wrap anything up in these and it'll keep them hot or cold for hours. Very easy and inexpensive form of insulation. I also add these to blessing bags I keep in my car in case I run into someone who's homeless and looking for help. I toss one of these in a gallon ziploc with some snacks, travel toiletries, and a few bucks. These are very helpful to have for anyone sleeping outside. My dad used to use them under our sleeping bags while tenting and they keep you warm and dry for sure. I've also used these at work for big catered parties. We were finding that when we put extra trays of hot food under the serving tables for when we needed to replenish the trays on top, the cold tile floor was sucking the heat right out of our expensive catered foods. We put one of these, maybe quadruple folded for size, under each catering tray and the food stayed hot for hours until everyone in our 400 person building was fed. These are so versatile. I'm sure there are dozens of other ways I'll find to use these!
