This product has been used on my hair. It is amazing. I am a black female with 3 different types or hair grades on my head, shoulder length. I have been wearing my hair "natural" for many years. I had washed my hair, oiled it, braided it and let it dry. A friend told me about this ceramic hair straightener. She had used it on her hair and it looked great. I had seen the product advertised on TV and was hesitant because of reviews of other straighteners, but she brought it over to the house. I have thick hair and it "tangles". Normally, it would take a while to straighten or "press" my hair. This did not take long. There was no heat to my head- so no flinching. I am also tender headed. The lady took down a braid at a time, comb the part that she was going to straighten and "voila". I did not "ouch". When she finished my hair looked fantastic. I don't know what heat setting she had it on, but, it was probably 450. My mother was impressed and wants me to buy the product, so she can use it, but I don't think I will use it enough since I am going back to my "natural". But it is a terrific product, especially if you have a tender headed child with a lot of hair.
