When the manufacturer of the my former brand of liquid soap I used stopped making it, my wife and I spent a year and a small fortune trying different liquid hand soaps to find one with a scent I could tolerate. I am extremely sensitive to any scents, perfumes or strong odors in general. This generally drives everyone in my life crazy...ier. ;-) . I read an article in a consumer type magazine that reported, and I'm paraphrasing this, "there are very few chemicals that are "unscented." The article continued that "a manufacturer has to put in other additives to mask any existing scents, perfumes, etc. My wife bought a bottle of Seventh Generation liquid soap for me in a local grocery store. After trying it I found that even though it does have a scent, it is a very mild one. It is pleasant to use, lathers very well using only a single squirt and is gentle on my skin, which, of course, is sensitive too. Unfortunately, the local store only had a few bottles in stock and not every week. When I saw it on Amazon, I immediately ordered 2 - 12 Oz. packs of 8 bottles. I hope they continue to make this soap for a long, long time, so we don't have to spend another year and another small fortune trying to find another liquid hand soap I can use without gagging (and whining about.) Your probably glad your not married to me by this point. I highly recommend Seventh Generation Hand Wash liquid soap to anyone, especially those of you that are scent sensitive and / or have sensitive skin. I was not paid, or given anything free products for this review and I cannot be held responsible for the bad humor used in it, it's just a character flaw.
