I adopted a 4mo pup with a bad case of generalized demodectic mange. When we got him he had so many sores and scabs, red bumps, fur missing on about 40% of his body. His head was near bald. Immediately the vet started him on daily Ivermectin. A week later, I could tell he was more comfortable, but his fur wasn't growing back and he still had scabs and bumps. I had been researching all that week on more treatments, and by the end of the first week, all the products had arrived and I began. I put him on a grain free puppy food, salmon oil, coconut oil (all daily), a sulfur bath every 3 days followed by nu-stock ointment, a raw egg 2x weekly and raw sardines once a week. He is THRIVING. I can't describe how tremendous of a difference, so I uploaded pics in customer images above. One week and his fur is totally regrown on his head!!!! Now when we're out, everyone that sees him makes some comment like "What a BEAUTIFUL dog!" He has a full nice shiny coat on his back and head and chest and tail. His legs and under belly seem to need more time to fully heal. He does have baby fur on his legs and sides now, but I think within another week that will fill in also. From just one week, he has not one scab or bump or pink skin anywhere now. It is truly AMAZING how much better he's doing. This stuff is messy, but so worth it. Just apply it out in the yard, and if possible, stay out there in the yard with your pet several hours. The yellow substance will transfer to carpets and couches during those first several hours. If that happens, warm soapy water does fix the problem. I do like that it's yellow, as it helps you see if you've got it everywhere needed. I find this tube horrendous in design. So I squeeze some out in a bowl and use the product from there. It's much simpler, far less mess. The pup does not mind this stuff at ALL. It says it relieves itching immediately, and it must because he is happy for me to apply it. I'll keep this stuff on hand for life. It is amazing! Don't pass this up and it's so inexpensive why NOT try it? This 12oz size is a great amount. I've applied it several times on a 40lb dog on half his body, and I still have half the tube left. It spreads a long way. I see people talking badly of the smell. The smell isn't that bad. It reminds me of Desitin. ...and honestly, if any of you have smelled a dog with a bad case of mange, you'd welcome a smell like desitin over the smell of the dog's rotting skin. Don't pass this up due to the smell reviews. It's a tolerable smell, and the benefits far outweigh that con.
