I owned a Kitchenaid Professional 600 for about 4 years and I was continually rebuilding the entire top end. The gears and synthetic food safe grease totalled about $100 per rebuild and I rebuilt it at least 4 times. I only used the kitchenaid for baking cakes, breads and mixing mashed potatoes. This new Costway unit has excelled at all the same tasks and it is quieter, more powerful and merely one sixth of my initial purchase price for the kitchenaid unit. I will never look back, this unit is superior in EVERY respect to the Kitchenaid. I also love the fact that this unit has a 7.5qt bowl as opposed to my old kitchenaid professional that had a 6qt bowl. If you're on the fence, this is the mixer to buy!!!
