I wasn't expecting it to be that great. I thought I could use these for lightly soiled clothes and still use the name-brand liquid detergent for heavily soiled items. Then I'd at least be saving the environment a few plastic tubs a year. As an experiment, though, I used one sheet in a large load of heavily soiled/stained items. WOW. These little miracles took out every stain I could throw at them. My son and I actually stained up some old cleaning towels just to see if it would work on everything. Bonus, these are pretty fun to watch dissolve so it motivated my 10-year-old to help out with the laundry. Our clothes are softer too; they don't have that stiff and starchy feel to them that other brands leave behind. I put our name-brand liquid detergent in the back of the closet where it will probably be collecting dust for years. : ) I'll be ordering these on subscription for myself, and I bought some for my parents to try as well. It's GREAT to see environmentally friendly products that actually work! PS- for those saying the sheets don't fully dissolve I never have that problem. Even with liquid detergent, I always let the water run for a minute, then add the detergent, and then add the clothes when the water gets soapy.
