Since I had seen some concerns about hitch type racks being flimsy, I was a little worried. However this thing is solid as a rock. It keeps my bikes in place and is very steady, even over rough streets. High speeds don't seem to move it around either. Not sure if you could fit 4 adults bikes on it but three plus a smaller bike is no problem. Really pleased with this. Easy to attach and remove.
