I live in hot, humid So Florida and I have a Memory Foam mattress which is very comfortable to sleep on. However, for years I have more often than not woken up in the middle of the night because the Memory Foam gets hot (even with the a/c unit running all the time) and I'm drenched in sweat and I am always tossing and turning. I received the package yesterday, and used it last night for the first time (more on that later). Putting it on bed was very easy, it took less than 5 minutes). Just put it on like you would a fitted sheet (it fits my thick Memory Foam mattress perfectly and there was enough slack to fold under the mattress. Then place the fitted sheet over this cover. The first thing I noticed is that the Memory Foam did not feel as hot. This pad is not a cool gel 9Like you would put in the fridge) and it does NOT feel cold. What it does, and it does it well, is to allow air to ventilate over the the mattress. As such, it allows air to circulate between you and the mattress. Thus, it keeps you much cooler during your sleep. As for me, last night was the first time in a long time that I slept the entire night without waking up in the middle of the night to toss and turn trying to find a cooler spot on the mattress. This morning I woke up and I was not sweaty at all. After talking to my daughter bout it, she immediately asked me to send her the link on the Amazon website so she could also buy one. Instead of the link, a sent her a copy of the notification I received from Amazon showing the purchase I made for her. I have a feeling I'll be buying at least one more.
