I have a very reactive dog, and on our walks we encounter off-leash dogs frequently. I had to use this spray more than once on dogs approaching us curiously. The spray is very efficient and does not cause permanent damage, but in each incident made the other dog turn away before a confrontation happened. The reaction of the other dog is mostly a look of bewilderment, and a quick retreat. The spray reaches about 10-12 feet. I lost my last spray because the clip became unglued. It's the 2nd time this happened. I quickly reordered, don't walk my dog without it any more. I would give it a full 5 star rating for efficiency and humane solution to a big problem, but would like to see the clip issue improved.
