My scooter arrived today, 6/9 one day before the delivery window closed. However, it wasn't the one I ordered. I ordered a Scout4 Spitfire that was listed at $694.99. The first day of the delivery window, 6/5, The seller, Phillips Medical, contacted me by phone to tell me that the original scooter had been misplaced by the shipper. To make up for that, they sent me an upgrade; The Spirfire Ex 1420 that lists at 1,099. Then they shipped it FedEx Priority even though I had opted for standard delivery. It was in pristine condition when it arrived still shrink-wrapped to a pallet. I plugged the battery in immediately for the 4 to 6 hour original charge and started the assembly. About the only parts I had to install were the arm rests My grandson and I had it together in less than an hour. Then I disassembled it to make sure it fit in the back of My Hyundai Tucson. It fits fine with a little room for other odds and ends. I then reassembled it including the battery and took it for a test spin. Everything works great. It is comfortable and adjustable. I like the swivel seat for easy entry and exit. I haven't had it up to full speed yet. I'm afraid to go that fast. If I decide to further upgrade to the 21 amp battery which would increase the range from 9 to 15 miles, I will certainly contact Phillips Medical to do that.
