AWESOME + TIPS FOR USE
This chalkboard paper is AWESOME. I love it, BUT it took some figuring out. We had fun figuring out the best way to apply it, and then it was great. It can be used on it's own, or you can apply it to frames, or create fun borders. Using it takes a little getting used to, but after that you will love it. It wipes perfectly clean with a damp rag. Here are the tips we figured out, plus the markers we got that work perfectly with it:
Do not rush. Peel a little of the backing off at a time (1-2 inches) and slowly apply. Rushing creates air bubbles, and creases that you don't want. At first we tried a plastic wallpaper tool to help smooth it, but that creased the paper too. The best thing to use is your thumbs from center outward, slowly and firmly smoothing the paper out. Your fingers will also work. Press and smooth, and then remove more of the backing and work your way down. Gently lift if you have any air bubbles that won't smooth out. If you take your time, it will apply perfectly. A second pair of hands to hold the bottom for you, if you are doing a large bit of it, or the whole thing, helps a lot. You can re-stick it, if you make a mistake, but each time you do it will make it less sticky. A couple of times is no problem. We wiped ours with a damp paper towel, worked perfectly. It does come with a cloth for that also.
We created fun borders to ours with washi tape. It would also be great to apply to old frames or mirrors to create cool boards. You could really apply it to almost anything. We put it on the fridge, the back of a door, and a bedroom wall. We used Madcap Liquid Chalk Markers, also from Amazon, and they are AMAZING: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075B28P5J
