We have had many bidets over the years after traveling to Japan many years ago, and discovering these toilet mounted wonders. From our first $1000 "loaded" model 10+ years ago with heated seat, warm air drying fan, carbon filter, heated water, remote, etc. which was nice, but who needs all that? Then after 7 years it died. Was not about to buy another over priced unit. Frankly, we did not utilize all those options, and it was a waste of money. We used it to get the business of cleaning done, and that was about it. Who needs to sit on the toilet for a minute or 2 after finishing your business to dry your tush with a fan, when a little toilet paper is a instantaneous dryer? Besides, the carbon filter is an added expense, and really did nothing. Seat and water warmer ran all the time, so power consumption was always an issue as well. So we started looking for an option to replace that original unit, and GenieBidet had a product that looked to fit the need for a simple, non-electric unit. (i.e.: no need to have a outlet installed in a water closet). After all, existing homes do not have electric plugs in water closets or next to bathroom toilets typically. With several bathrooms in our new home (6 toilets to be exact), these bidets are ideal. We have had a couple GenieBidets for a while now, so the new model was of interest. This unit was amazingly simple to install and use. It took 10 minutes with a wrench to complete the install. Included is a stainless hose for the existing supply valve to the included chrome T you install on the bottom of the toilet tank, and then a simple white tube you can cut to length to go from the T to the Bidet. Reinstall the toilet seat, and your done. The seals look to be high quality, and no leaks whatsoever. To use, you have the attractive labeled simple knob that turns one direction for the tail end, or the other direction which has a separate nozzle for ladies forward parts. It turns smoothly, and is simple to use. The nozzles return to a hidden position when finished. The unit operates quite well, and gets the job of cleaning done without fuss. Brilliantly simple. Our guests appreciate having these in their bathrooms, and once they try one, they head to Amazon to find it for their homes. I did have a small discount offer to buy this new model as a previous GenieBidet customer. However, that did not sway this review in any way. We have 3 GenieBidet units now, and we've been impressed with them.
